Our Mission
To love and lead everyone we connect with into relationship and
discipleship with Jesus Christ and give away to the world what God has
given us.Our Purpose
Imagine a collection of surrendered and transformed people, from all walks of life, who love God and others. They are enthralled by the idea that this is not about them, but all about Jesus and His kingdom. They are us.
We are transfixed by His story and His heart for their city. We are risktakers and dreamers, young and old. We link arms with anyone who tells the story of Jesus. We empower the poor, strengthen the weak, embrace the outcast, seek the lost. We serve together, worship together, and live life together. Our city will change because God sent us.
We are the church:
- that will connect with every residence in North Providence and its surrounding regions inviting them to discipleship and worship with RWBC.
- that celebrates Christ through a blended style of worship using hymns and modern choruses. .
- that is committed to preaching the gospel of the kingdom of Christ, celebrating its presence, and teaching its laws and principles.
- that is a disciple training center in order to expand the kingdom of Christ through small groups throughout the Metro Providence area whereby each member becomes a recruiter and is equipped to be a disciple-maker for the kingdom of Christ.
- that will adopt struggling churches & missionaries in the mission field overseas.
- that will connect to all age, racial, and cultural groups.
- that is committed to social action and justice.
Our Message
Our message is the "good news" that Christ, who is the Son of God, truly God as His Father, took on humanity, DIED for your sins, was BURIED, and was RAISED from the dead on the third day (Luke 12:50 & 1st Corinthians 15:1-4).The Bible also teaches that in order to be saved, you must imitate Christ and obey His gospel ( Romans 10:16; 2nd Thessalonians 1:8; 1st Peter 4:17).
But in order to obey the gospel, you must first hear it (Romans 10:17). Then you must believe it (Mark 16:16; John 3:16; Romans 1:16).
Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:28). You must be CRUCIFIED & BURIED in water with Christ for the remission of sins to be RAISED with Him (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3,4; Colossians 2:11,12).
Then you will receive from God the promise of eternal life (Titus 1:2 & 1st John 2:25). The promise of eternal life is the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38-41 & Romans 6:23).
After your obedience to the gospel( 1st Peter 1:22), the Lord adds you to His church (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:47; 1st Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:27). God now bestows upon you the great privilege and responsibility of being His child (1st John 5:19). Now you have also become a Christian and wear the name of Christ only (Acts 11:26 & 1st Peter 4:16). It is impossible for a Christian to "join the church."
You must also keep your promise to Jesus Christ. When you confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9), you promise Him you would love Him by your obedience to His commands (John 14:15 & 1st Cor 7:19). Lord Jesus commanded that children of God must diligently serve Him till He returns or till your death. (Matthew 25:19-21; Revelation 2:10; 22:14).
